Larry Simmons began his OSU career in 1981 when he was hired by the, “Applied Engineering Technology, Mechanical Design, and Manufacturing” department, as an assistant professor to teach drafting courses.
At that time MET was located on the third floor of Crutchfield Hall, and in 1988 moved to its current location on the third floor of Cordell South.
Simmons industrial experience was with Corning Glass and The Rural Electrification Association. His areas of teaching were Engineering Graphics, Industrial Computer-aided Design, and Parametric CAD Modeling. Simmons areas of interest are Engineering Graphics and Computer-aided Design.
We want to thank Professor Simmons for his many years of hard work, and dedication to OSU/MET and students who have passed through his classes. We wish you well in retirement Larry.
His special interests include Traveling, country-western dancing, biking, CAD, drafting standards and robotics.
